Where did my weekend go? It's already Monday!

This weekend has been so eventful that I can't even believe I did everything in such a short period of time! Celebrated my 21st on Friday with friends & fam. So good to see everyone! I'm thankful to have everyone who I do now in my life! Went to the Bite with my mama and Brother on Saturday and then we headed down to the Lakefair parade back home. Today I'm going to the fireworks show with my fam. It is just like back in the day <3.

Also, went to my first lounge on Friday and was not that impressed. Oh well, at least I am able to now!

It is already the second week of July! Back in the day when I still had recess and no responsibilities, summer felt like it would never end. Now, it is going by way too fast! Nothing new and exciting, no drama, nada. I've been busy at work learning new things and doing different projects. I'm busy working some full days this week, but I love the working life!

Went on my first triple date last Friday and enjoyed it! I guess it's cause you don't feel awkward holding hands with your man or sitting close without feeling bad. Don't worry though! I am very considerate of others whether they are in a relationship or single. Also, got to catch up with my girlfriend & finally meet her man!

So far, so good. I've been able to go on dates with friends who I've drifted from this past year as well as make new ones :). Weather is nice, boy and I are doing well, family is ALWAYS good, and work is dandy fine.

My life is complete.

A lot has happened since my last post (May 25) so I'll recap. Ant & I celebrated our two years last month. Can you believe it? It has already been two years..feels like I've known him for longer than that. We spent a nice day out together full of activities. Sorry to be mushy here but....I'm so lucky to have a boyfriend like Ant.

My bro graduated a few weeks ago and I'm so proud of him! He worked so hard throughout high school so he definitely deserved all of the recognition he received at the awards ceremony and the grad ceremony <3. I'm looking forward to showing him around UW and meeting up to hang out. Brother-sister bonding! In a way, I'm glad he decided not to go to USC..be closer to me! 

Had my grandpa's anniversary yesterday. So good to see family and eat yummy vegetarian food together. Played with the kids outside for awhile so it was refreshing.

I'm at home sick in bed today, which is why I'm updating cause I have so much time in the world! I'm not sure how I got sick, but I think it is an accumulation of a bunch of things..the bus to and back from work is always packed, weather change, not wearing enough layers, etc. I'm not deathly ill here, just have a stuffy nose, mini-cough, and I had a fever for half a day. I'm feeling a bit better now so I'm looking forward to going back to work tomorrow!

Speaking of work, I also got a promotion a couple weeks back! I'm no longer an intern, woo! The new interns for summer quarter are starting soon so I'm looking forward to meeting them and showing them around.

I'll just enjoy my personal day, stay in bed and listen to Taylor Swift <3

with homework :).

Crazy how the weekend flew right on by, but I'm not too bummed because I did quite a bit in just a short period of time. After I got off work Friday, I went to Nordies to shop their half-yearly sale, but only got some accessories and glasses. Saturday, I went to Folklife for the first time ever with some friends and wow! have I been missing out or what?! Sunday, I got lunch with Ants fam and went kayaking later. It was my third or fourth time going but this time was kind of scary because we were caught between two boats and crashing waves! Geez..young boat drivers should NOT be allowed on the waters. Today, I'm heading off to Greenlake to study and bask in sunshine. I want ice cream because there's nothing like getting ice cream by the water, but I feel guilty cause I got it yesterday! Sigh..ice cream is pure bliss, just like ignorance.

I've been so busy lately that there really hasn't been much time to update. I'm totally free this weekend so I am taking advantage of my free time and truly relaxing. I barely slept at all last week so I was exhausted yesterday.

Happy Birthday to my boo! His birthday was yesterday so I planned a mini birthday celebration for him. I just rounded up his friends, went out to dinner at Claim Jumper, watched Xmen afterward and then everyone came over for cake. He had a good time so it is all that matters :). Everyone is growing up so fast! I turn 21 in two months! Geez that sounds so old....

I'm so happy Freida and Dev are together <3

WOW. The weather is GORGEOUS today. It is suppose to hit up to the low 70's. I can't wait for this kind of weather everyday! I think as I get older, my weekends get even better :). I get off work early Friday's so Ant and I made a trip to Little Coney for ice cream. Saturday we attended the funeral in support of Alex.... Afterward, we went to the Pacific Science Center (my first time!) and it was fun! Lots of little kids going 'ooh' 'wow mommy!.' You would think that I didn't fit in, but trust me, I was one of the big kids who said 'ooh' too! Today I'm visiting my parents and then studying for my test next week. I wish weekends were longer, but I guess it is only a few days until next weekend. I swear the days just stroll on by like nothing.

I'm listening to one of my favorite songs 'Back To You' and it reminds me so much of last summer. I am definitely ready for summer to start. PLEASE HURRY UP AND COME NOW!

Life is just too short. 

The weather this whole weekend has been absolutely amazing! It is suppose to be up to the low 70's today, which is perfect for outdoor activities! I took advantage of the warmth and went on a bike ride yesterday. It turned out to be a lot of fun and now I'm really considering getting one. Today, I'm heading down to the farmers market (its been awhile) for the BBQ championship!

First week of school was good and it went by incredibly fast! I think I like taking Chinese better this quarter than last. Now that I took winter quarter, I don't feel like such a newbie. Film is so long and draggy that I hope it isn't going to be like this every single class period. Good news is I only have it twice a week, bad news is it is 3 hours long. It can be pure torture by the end of the second hour.

My goal for Spring quarter is to try and catch up with old friends! I was pathetic about trying to get together with people last quarter because my schedule didn't allow for much free time. So far i've gotten to see some and it's always refreshing to catch up or reminisce on the old days. Hopefully when the weather gets warmer, I'll also be able to do more outdoors things. I should be more active :).

Anyhow, I'm up early and ready to start my day! I'm going to get ready and then head to the cook-off! I'll try and take pics!!

I came into my film and sis/anthro classes with the impression that they would be incredibly challenging, meaning they would just absolutely suck. Theory classes are not always easy nor are anthropology classes, but to my surprise, both classes seemed really interesting and not so bad! Both of my prof's seemed open minded and were very reasonable about the amount of work and their expectations for their students. I am actually pretty excited for this quarter. My film professor encourages abstract expressionism, which is something we will be toying with for our final project through voice recordings and photos!. My SIS professor just seems really sweet. Chinese 103 isn't the same as 102. One of my friends from 102 decided to not take 103 so it's pretty lonely without her this quarter. There are only a few new people and none of them seem openly friendly. I suppose it's fine. We take classes to learn anyway, not to socialize.

Starting today, most of my livejournal entries will be private. I had a scare last night so to avoid stalker type situations, I will only have limited entries as public. Thanks!

I just switched to a new foundation (MAC --> Clinique) yesterday and really, so far so good. I've also started applying with a foundation brush, which I find to work 10 times better than simply using fingers. Apparently, Clinique claims to offer products that maintain acne to a minimum so hopefully their products give desirable results as they claim. MAC foundation is way too heavily and leaves your face oily. I admit that my guilty pleasures these last few days has been splurging beauty products....
